On September 6, 2025, 149 members of the 2025 National Minority Visiting Group entered the Palace of Ethnic Cultures to visit the "Exhibition of Cultural Relics and Ancient Books for Fostering the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation". As an important cultural carrier of this event, the commemorative badges designed by the Palace of Ethnic Cultures not only became an important symbol highlighting the spirit of ethnic unity, but also fully reflected the important role of the Palace of Ethnic Cultures in implementing the party and state's ethnic work deployment and inheriting Chinese culture.

The "National Ethnic Minorities Visiting Group" (hereinafter referred to as the "Visiting Group") event is a glorious tradition and important institutional arrangement in the party and state's ethnic work. The Party Committee of the Ethnic Cultural Palace attaches great importance to it and has listed the design of commemorative badges as a key task - it is not only an exclusive commemorative logo for members of the "Visiting Group", but also a concrete expression of the important discourse that "all ethnic groups should hold together like pomegranate seeds". After receiving the design task, the Cultural and Creative Work Leading Group Office, led by the palace leaders, rapidly promoted the design work with "high standards and high efficiency". In just one week, six initial design schemes were completed. After receiving relevant guiding opinions, facing the challenges of "tight time, heavy task, and high cultural connotation requirements", the team worked continuously for two days and nights, deeply exploring the historical significance and spiritual core of the "Visiting Group", and newly conceived and completed four design schemes. To ensure the professionalism and cultural depth of the design, experts in the design field were specially invited to participate in the review and provide professional opinions. After multiple rounds of modification and polishing, the commemorative badge design for the 2025 National Ethnic Minorities Visiting Group was finally selected from the four design schemes submitted by our palace.

During the visit, all members posed for a group photo wearing the badge, with the distinct symbolism of the badge complementing the enthusiastic spirit of the members, vividly interpreting the era's connotation of unity and progress among all ethnic groups. Some members of the "visiting group" expressed their intention to give this badge to the local museum in their hometown for display and promotion as a symbolic exhibit of the cause of ethnic unity and progress. Others hoped that the "visiting group" could have such a badge every year in the future, so that everyone could have a unique memory to cherish.

In addition to commemorative badges, various cultural and creative products from the National Cultural Palace also received widespread recognition from the "visiting group" members. During their visits, the members took the initiative to stop by the cultural and creative exhibition area, carefully understanding the cultural connotations and design concepts of the products. They also brought their favorite cultural and creative products back to their hometowns, expressing their affirmation of the cultural and creative work of the National Cultural Palace through practical actions. These cultural and creative products, which integrate historical stories from cultural relics and ancient books with architectural elements of the National Cultural Palace, not only serve as a carrier for members to preserve "the memory of the Chinese nation", but also promote the widespread dissemination of Chinese culture through interactive exchanges.
